Arviem as the leading Cargo Monitoring Service provider adds a new device to its device portfolio after years of testing different solutions. The new device allows to be used on airplanes and therefore opens the market to track and monitor air-freight shipments as well.
The global market for airfreight shipments is growing by 5.9% according to the market research company Sandler Research. Mainly e-commerce is one of the key growth drivers. 70% of shippers have expressed that they seek more visibility of available consignments. Some more advanced freight and logistics companies are offering online elements to their businesses, but these are isolated and proprietary.
“With new technologies and disruptive new services as Arviem is offering, the opportunity exists to increase efficiency through smart routing (matching available transport capacity with demand), and predictability in consignments reducing overall risk”, says Stefan Reidy, CEO of Arviem. Where risk is reduced, the price of financial services is affected, where electronic visibility is created, liquidity and transparency is increased and exchange-based trading drives pricing towards open market forces.
“We are now in the final testing phase with some clients and plan the full deployment of the air cargo tracking service by end of Q2”, says Marco Sargenti, COO at Arviem. During the final testing phase, Arviem wants to secure its high service standard and easy-to-use promise towards clients: Dashboard access, physical supply and return of devices, frequent and reliable flow of information, reliability of service, low logistics costs etc.
With intermodal container monitoring, trailer monitoring and now air cargo tracking, Arviem offers cargo monitoring services to its clients for all modes of transport out of one hand.
